Excelsior College Announces New Scholarship Programs
to Assist Marine Corps Spouses.

Excelsior College introduces new programs to assist spouses of U.S. Marines with achieving their educational goals. Marine Corps Spouse Program option #1 is as a spouse of a U.S. Marine, because you are on the move and can’t make it through a degree program, Excelsior has partnered with the Marine Corps to help spouses earn their degrees more easily and affordable. Our Marine Corps Program allows spouses to enroll in undergraduate degree programs under the same discount that is offered to active duty, National Guard and Reserve personnel. Military Spouse Enrollment Option #1 offers greatly reduced fees when you choose to take Excelsior College courses.

Marine Corps Spouse Scholarship Program Option #2 was created to support enrolled students who are spouses of active duty Marines. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Marine Corps may use this scholarship toward their enrollment fee, written examination fees, Nursing Performance examination fee, program completion and graduation fees, MBA/MS in nursing tuition, MA/LS tuition, and Excelsior on line courses. Awards will be made on the last day of each month beginning July 31, 2007, with the last award given on January 31, 2008.

Choose from our many online classes and find out about the face- to-face class options. The Summer session begins Tuesday, 27 May and runs through Sunday, 17 August.

Graduate classes are also available from Tuesday, 27 May through Monday, 4 August. The MBA classes run from Monday, 12 May through Sunday 10 August.

To apply and register for classes, see your University of Maryland College representative at the MCB Quantico Lifelong Learning Center. The hours of operation are Monday-Wednesday 0900-1500, and advising on Thursdays
from 0900-1600.

As a designated four-year member institution, Park University provides bachelor and associate degree programs. The Park University School for Extended Learning has campus sites at Ft Belvoir, Ft Myer, Pentagon, Henderson Hall, and Quantico. Programs are available for military service members, their dependents, and civilians. Park University supports military dependents with scholarship opportunities and financial aid.

The Park University School for Extended Learning Military Resident Center System is one of the nation’s largest programs consisting of approximately 26,000 enrollments. Park University proudly awarded degrees to over one hundred students, in its annual area Commencement Ceremony. The University offers 8-9 week terms for face-to-face courses, and 8-week terms for online courses. Our next term will start on Monday, 17 March-Sunday, 18 May.
