The Key Volunteer Network is a communication network, designed to provide information, referral, and support to families within their unit. The KVN provides professional training and development, learning for a lifetime, encouragement, empowerment and fun.

  • Serves as the communication link between the unit and its families
  • Assists in developing and maintaining a sense of community within the unit
  • Is a reliable source of information and referral
 
Who is a Key Volunteer?
----------------------------------------------------------
A Key Volunteer is the spouse of a member of the unit and is appointed by the Commanding Officer. Key Volunteers are supportive of the USMC and its core values of Courage, Honor and Commitment. A Key Volunteer must also be compassionate and caring, serve as a role model, be a good listener, be mature and understanding, and able to adhere to strict rules of confidentiality.
 
 
Key Volunteer Training

Key Volunteer Training is conducted monthly. Sessions rotate between days and evenings to accommodate working spouses. To register for an upcoming session contact the Key Volunteer Trainer at 703.432.1902.
