Retired Activities Office -RAO-

The Retired Activities Office (RAO), Marine Corps Base, Quantico, Virginia organization that provides information and assistance to retirees of all branches of the US Armed Forces, their spouses, widows and widowers, regarding the benefits and entitlements they earned by their honorable and faithful service to our nation.

The assistance provided ranges from the very simple, such as answering questions about facilities and services available at MCB, Quantico, to more complex issues such as assistance with retired pay, medical care or issues related to death benefits.

This office sponsors various events for retirees within a reasonable driving distance of MCB, Quantico for the purpose of bringing the Active Duty and retired communities together; providing on-the-spot services such as, renewing ID Cards and vehicle registrations (base decals), enrollment in the Semper Fit health maintenance program, and keeping Retirees and their families informed of changes in the active military forces. These events include Retiree Marine Corps Birthday Ball, Retiree Day and Widows Tea.
