The Lifelong Learning Education Center offers exams for credit, certification and admissions. Most of these exams are free to Active Duty. Explanation of exams to follow.

| AFCT, DLPT, DLAB |

| Active Duty personnel only. Several military exams are scheduled on a monthly basis. To find out the upcoming dates or to schedule yourself for one of the military exams contact 703.784.4012. Allow 2-4 weeks for scores to post to your SRB and/or SMART transcript. |

| ASE |

| The Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification tests are offered here at Quantico. If you would like to take any of the ASE exams, please call the Testing Office at 703.784.4012 to inquire about eligibility requirements, registration fees, and fees for unfunded exams. |

| CLEP |

Find out your score as soon as you finish the test. CLEP exams are administered in NOVA's Continuing Education Computer Lab on Thursdays at 0930, 1100, and 1330. You must bring two forms of identifiation to be admitted. Free to Active Duty/Reserves; Family members, Veterans and Civilians may test for $90, must be in the form of two money orders or credit card, $20 and $70. Call the testing office at 703.784.4012 to schedule. Optional essay exams require a two-week notice. | EXCELSIOR EXTENDED RESPONSE/ESSAY |

Excelsior multiple choice exams are given every other Friday at 0830; however, Excelsior Extended Response exams with essays are offered only six times a year. Register at least 5 weeks in advance of a test date so that your test can be ordered before an ordering deadline. Study Guides can be found at Excelsior.edu.

| GED |

The GED is available for Military, dependants and DoD personnel. Passing Pre-GED test scores are required before the GED exam may be administered. If you are interested in taking the GED, contact us at 703.784.4012 for details.

| MASP |
| ------------------------------------------------------------ |
| The Military Academic Skills Program is designed to improve the competencies in the academic skills of reading, Communication/writing and mathematics. In turn, Marines will be better prepared to retake the AFCT Armed Forces Classifictation Test and to perform their mission. Classes are held between 0730 and 1430; however, in sessions that contain a holiday break, hours may be extended to meet course requirements. This is an on-duty program and command approval is required for enrollment. An Administrative Action form may be obtained from the Education Office. For more information call 703.784.4010. |

| PRAXIS |
| ------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Praxis exams for teacher certification are offered to active duty military personnel. Registration for the exams will be closed five weeks in advance of a test date. Although the test is funded once for the Praxis I and once for a Praxis II, all examinees must pay a non-refundable, registration fee of $50.00 per test day. Contact us at 703.784.4012 for details. |

| SAT, ACT |
| ------------------------------------------------------------ |
| SAT exams are given once a month. Scoring is shut down for the summer. ACT exams are given once a month. Allow six-eight weeks to receive your scores for SAT and ACT exams. Testing is available for military members only. |
