Lunga boats may be rented by authorized patrons on a first come, first served basis. A liability waiver will be signed for each boat issued. Patrons must pass a safe boater test for motorboats and life jackets will be worn at all times.

Personal boats on trailers may be launched at the boat ramp at
no charge. Motors over 10-horse power will be operated at idle speed ONLY. All boaters must check at the boat ramp for live fire conditions past the buoys. Boats without lights are not allowed on the lake after dark.

The lake is patrolled by the local game wardens.
Jet skis, water skiing, and swimming are not allowed.

Camping

Boats: Fees for all watercraft include all necessary safety gear. Gas mixture is included with motorboats.

Miscellaneous

Tent sites have orange numbers, are first come, first served and cannot be reserved. Upon arrival at Lunga Park, select a site, pitch your tent, and then come to the General Store or office to make your payment. Office after hours procedures are located on a board outside the office. About the only time tent sites fill up are on holiday weekends.

Improved sites can and should be reserved at the General Store or office in person or by phone, 703.784.5270. Check in at the General Store or office upon arrival and make your payment, then proceed to your reserved site, which will have a tag with your name on the number post. Please keep in mind this is not an RV park. You may need extra electrical cord, water hose, or sewer connection for these improved sites. Scope out the sewer port before you park, as these are onsite holding tanks that may need accessed. Lunga Park starts taking reservations for the summer season in February. There is no long-term camping or monthly rate.
