The Quantico Physical Fitness Program is located in the Barber Physical Activity Center, Building 2073, Barnett Avenue. Fitness programs include fitness assessment and exercise prescriptions, cardio-vascular conditioning programs, strength training and conditioning, group exercise programs, health promotion and exercise assistance, CPR training, massage therapy, fitness lecture series and a variety of specialty programs. The Physical Fitness Program supports the Marine Corps PFT and weight control requirements.

    Teams run to locations aboard Quantico to be tested on USMC knowledge. Run approximetly 5-7 miles with up to 5 trivia locations. Fail to answer the trivia correctly and be challenged physically.

Microfit Assessments

Using state of the art technology, receive a complete personalized fitness/lifestyle assessment. A personal trainer will use the information on your body composition, strength, flexibility and aerobic fitness to design an individualized exercise program for you. Profile includes results and printed report of: Weight, Body Fat, Heart Rate, Blood Pressure, Flexibility, Strength, Cardio Conditioning. For appointments call 703.432.0593/2162.

 
Pre-Evaluation Guidelines

If you have any of the following conditions, you will need a clearance form signed by your physician:
  • Heart problems, chest pain, history of stroke
  • High blood pressure, lung or breathing problems
  • Men over age 45, women over age 55
  • Diabetes, thyroid condition, high cholesterol
  • Smoker, sedentary or any condition that would be aggravated by exercise
Before your assessment, you should:
  • Avoid exercise four (4) hours prior to your assessment.
  • Avoid heavy meals before your assessment.
  • Dress in athletic gear, preferably a T-shirt, shorts and athletic shoes. Women should wear a sports bra. Avoid spandex, as it prevents accurate body fat measurement.
 
Personal Training Program

Jump start your exercise program with the help of a personal trainer. Individualized exercise programs are designed to meet each person's needs and goals.

Semper Fit Fitness staff possess degrees in Exercise Science and Physiology or related fields and/or are certified by the American Council on Exercise in Personal Training, Clinical Exercise, and Lifestyle and Weight Management.

Receive three one-on-one personal training sessions when you schedule a Microfit Assessment.
