| Self-Supporting Since 1989 |
| ------------------------------------------------------------ |
Food Operations has been a self-supporting department since 1989, when its essential feeding reimbursement ended. It must generate enough income to pay all of its expenses. This includes salaries, benefits, food and nonfood purchases, utilities and other overhead expenses. At the same time, enough monies must also be generated to pay for equipment replacement, facility upkeep and other expenses
