CSACC Mission and Prevention

Consolidated Substance Abuse Counseling Center (CSACC)

The Substance Abuse Counseling Center provides both outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico. Treatment includes case management (referrals to inpatient care if needed), counseling, treatment planning and aftercare/continuing care recommendations. Treatment is abstinence based, uses an individualized continuum of care approach and is coupled with emphasis on personal responsibility and 12-step self-help programs. Treatment is primarily offered to Active Duty personnel. All treatment services are based on the individuals' needs and have a variable length of stay, based on these needs.

Also provided are similar services to Retired military, family members (age 18 and older), and DoD personel aboard MCB Quantico, on a space-available basis. The individual's primary health care provider usually arranges treatment.

Drugs and alcohol abuse presents a large and mounting concern for military leaders. CSACC provides an active campaign to help educate military personnel and their family members on the dangers of illegal drugs and alcohol abuse, as well as the personal and professional consequences of their actions while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
